Try the Personal Concerns Inventory (PCI) to clarify what to focus on, or start with Relaxation Therapy for guided meditation.
Section One introduces the foundation of the Healthy Back program and Dr. Mulry’s approach to back first aid, relaxation, and lower back care.
The lesson introduces Stomach Breathing, the Position of Comfort, and Relaxation Therapy. Together, these skills form the basis of Back First Aid.
You’ll learn how relaxation, breathing, and the Position of Comfort can help reduce muscle tension, relieve pressure on the lower back, and provide practical first aid when stiffness or back pain occurs.
The lesson also introduces the role of stress in muscle tension and explains why relaxation is a skill that can be developed through practice.
