Not sure where to start?
Try the Personal Concerns Inventory (PCI) to clarify what to focus on, or start with Relaxation Therapy for guided meditation.
Dr. Reaume Carroll Mulry presented this early version of the Personal Concerns Inventory (PCI) as part of his Freedom From Back Pain program.
The PCI has come a long way since this video was recorded.
The PCI was a paper-based self-study tool with 52 personal concerns. Participants rated each concern from 1 to 10 every day for three weeks. Dr. Mulry described it as a self-study technique for exploring daily feelings, thoughts, and activities.
Today, the Personal Concerns Inventory has evolved into a powerful interactive digital tool with more than 1,000 concerns. It organizes your responses into a personalized “This Is Me!” Report. Creating a free account allows you to save your results and follow your PCI history over time.
Much has changed since 1991, but the purpose remains the same: identify your concerns, decide what you want to do, and make changes in a focused and self-directed manner.
As Dr. Mulry says at the end of the presentation, the goal is to take “greater and greater charge of yourself” and enjoy the life you want to live.
